Rivae Social ("Rivae Social", "we", "us") is a service operated by 14001681 Canada Inc., located in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what data Rivae Social collects, how it is used, and how it is deleted.
1. Information we collect
- Business contact information you provide: your name, business name, email address, and phone number.
- Media files, meaning the photos and videos you upload for publishing.
- Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok account data accessed through official platform APIs after you authorize us: your account ID, username, media published through our service, and basic engagement metrics such as reach, likes, and comments.
2. How we use it
Rivae Social uses this information only to publish content to your own social media accounts on your behalf, to generate performance reports for you, and to contact you about your service.
3. What we do not do
Rivae Social does not sell your data. Rivae Social does not share it with advertisers. Rivae Social does not use your media or account data to train machine learning models. Rivae Social does not access your direct messages.
4. Meta Platform data
Data obtained from Instagram and the Meta Graph API is used solely to provide the publishing and reporting features described above, in accordance with the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies. Access tokens are stored encrypted and are never shared with third parties.
5. Third-party services we use
- Cloudinary — media storage and processing
- Render — application hosting
- Vercel — website hosting
- Post for Me — multi-platform publishing
- Meta Platforms — Instagram publishing and advertising
These providers process data only as needed to deliver our service.
6. Data retention
Rivae Social keeps your media and account data for as long as your account is active. After you cancel, Rivae Social deletes your media files and revokes all access tokens within 30 days.
7. Your rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time. Email hello@rivaetech.com. See the data deletion page for the deletion process.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date. Clients will be notified by email of any change that affects how their data is used.
